WARNO Deck Copying Tips and Adjustment Guide

How to copy a strong WARNO deck, adjust it after each game, and avoid panic air buys that cost more than the unit they kill. It is written for new and semi-experienced players who want a tested starting point rather than a deck built card by card.

This guide shows you how to start from a deck a strong player has already tested instead of building every card choice yourself, and how to trim that deck into your own after each match. You will see where pro-player division builds are posted, the three things to review when a game ends, and how to judge an air call before you spend 200 points on a 50-point target.

How to choose

Scout the likely deck before choosing your plan

Choose a scouting check when you can look up the opponent's division before the game. Search for Warno AS online or use the Warno AS Discord, where pro-player decks and division builds are posted. That basic build can show what the opponent will probably have before the game starts, including whether the division is likely to lean on heavy tanks or light tanks, which helps with WARNO adapting to matchups.

Choose the other side of the front when the enemy deck is bad in that area and its composition is stronger where you first planned to fight. This is where WARNO map side advantages matter, because the same enemy deck can be more comfortable in one area than another.

Choose a consolidated style when a heavy tank deck has weaker AA, such as Roland twos and threes. Do not play wide with that kind of force, because staying consolidated lets the AA cover the armor, while poor coverage can lead to tanks being lost repeatedly to bombers or clusters.

How to avoid panic air buys in WARNO

Watch out

Check the trade before buying the plane

Panic buying affects aircraft and helicopters, and panic air calls are one of the biggest mistakes across skill levels. For how to avoid panic air buys WARNO, compare the plane cost to the target before clicking the purchase.

Cheap bombers are often around 180 to 200 points. Buying a 200-point plane to kill a 50-point ATGM is not worth it. If a 200-point plane kills a 65-point Milan 2, you still lose about 150 points.

Aircraft can be suppressed by enemy AA before they drop, and they can be shot down before dropping their payload. When you are being overrun, buy more ground units for the front line instead of making a desperation air call.

Use aircraft when the target is a key unit in the middle of a larger strategic push. That is different from panic buying.

Frequently asked

Should I copy another player's WARNO deck?

Yes, if you are new or semi-experienced. Top players min-max their decks, so their builds give you a tested starting point instead of guessing at every card. Treat it as a baseline, not as your final version.

What should I change in my deck after a game?

Start from the units that kept appearing in your real games, then note what you missed and what the opponent did to you. If an enemy tactic kept punishing the same weakness, put an answer to it in the deck straight away, keeping the change small enough that the deck still plays like yours.

When is buying a plane in WARNO worth it?

When the target is a key unit in the middle of a larger strategic push. Cheap bombers run about 180 to 200 points, so spending one on a 50-point ATGM loses you the trade, and the plane can be suppressed or shot down by enemy AA before it drops at all.

How can I tell what my opponent will bring?

If you can look up their division before the game, search for Warno AS online or check the Warno AS Discord, where pro-player decks and division builds are posted. That basic build tells you roughly what to expect, including whether the division leans on heavy or light tanks.
