Accounts
You need a Guides Factory account to submit videos, publish guides, or track your reading progress. When you create one you agree to give accurate information and to keep your login credentials to yourself. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including guides published by anyone you share access with.
Accounts are for individual people. If you represent a studio, a content network, or a community team, contact us and we will set up a shared workspace instead of one login passed around. We may ask you to verify ownership of a linked video channel before we attribute guides to it.
You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement in your country to hold an account. If we learn an account belongs to someone below that age, we will close it and delete the associated submissions.
Acceptable use
Guides Factory exists so players can follow a guide while they play. Anything that gets in the way of that is not acceptable use. Do not scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other readers, do not attempt to bypass rate limits or paywalls, and do not resell access to guides you did not write.
You also agree not to upload malware, probe our infrastructure for vulnerabilities without written permission, impersonate another creator, or use the platform to harass anyone. Automated access is allowed only through published interfaces and within their documented limits.
- No scraping, mirroring, or bulk redistribution of guide content.
- No circumventing quotas, review queues, or paid-guide access controls.
- No harassment, hate speech, or targeted abuse in comments or corrections.
- No uploading content you do not have the right to adapt or publish.
Content you submit
You keep ownership of the guides, corrections, and comments you write. By publishing them on Guides Factory you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, translate, and adapt that content so it can be shown across the site and in previews, and so other contributors can improve it over time.
When you submit a video link for adaptation, you confirm you have the right to have that video turned into a written guide, or that the adaptation is a fair use in your jurisdiction. We credit the original video creator on every guide derived from their work, and we remove an adaptation on request from the rights holder.
Community corrections folded into an existing guide become part of that guide. Contributors are credited, but a single guide is a shared document and no contributor holds a veto over later edits. Editors may revise, merge, or unpublish a guide that has become inaccurate.
Subscriptions and billing
The free tier includes a fixed number of guide generations each calendar month. Pro is billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle and renews automatically until you cancel. Prices are shown before checkout and include applicable taxes where we are required to collect them.
Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period. If a payment fails we will retry for a short window and then move the account back to the free tier, keeping your published guides intact. Earnings from paid guides are paid out on the schedule shown in your dashboard once the minimum threshold is reached.
We may change prices with at least thirty days' notice. If a price change affects your plan, you can cancel before it takes effect and finish out the period you already paid for.
Termination
You can close your account at any time from the dashboard. We will delete your drafts and submissions and, on request, unpublish guides where you are the sole contributor. Guides with multiple contributors stay online with your attribution preserved unless removal is legally required.
We may suspend or terminate an account that repeatedly breaks these terms, that puts the service at risk, or that we are legally required to close. Where the situation allows it, we give notice and an opportunity to fix the problem first. Sections about content licences, liability, and dispute resolution survive termination.
