🎯 The core idea

Yggdrasil Path is one of Marvel Rivals' original Convoy maps, set in Asgard's Yggsgard realm -- an ornate, three-checkpoint escort map with health packs tucked into balconies, courtyards and hidden rooms on both sides of every stretch. This guide walks the full route from the attacker's spawn, checkpoint by checkpoint, covering every health pack location plus the map's Loki-themed Easter eggs.

A spelling note up front: the map is officially named "Yggdrasil Path" in-game and on the current wiki (single L), though "Yggdrasill" with a double L is also a common search spelling for the same map -- both refer to the identical Convoy map covered below.

This is a route and health-pack layout guide, not a hero tier list -- the map's physical layout hasn't changed since launch, so this holds up regardless of which heroes are strongest in the current balance patch. See "How this guide was fact-checked" for confirmation the map is still live.

Checkpoint 1: right side out of spawn

Coming out of spawn and down the steps into the open courtyard, the first health pack sits right on the ledge there -- and there's a second spawn door in the same spot, worth knowing if your team splits up. Taking the path closest to the convoy and through the opening on the right, tucked between a wall and a staircase, is the second health pack.

Going up the stairs to the right leads to a ledge, and to the left there are four archways -- the leftmost one leads across a bridge connecting to the left side of the map entirely. Taking the two archways further in leads to a balcony overlooking the convoy path -- a genuinely strong defensive position and one of the map's clearer chokepoints, which attackers have to fight through. From there, another left up a set of stairs reaches a ledge that's one of the best spots on this stretch to defend from, and continuing on leads to a room with the third health pack for the right side. Down a ramp and to the left is the fourth and final health pack on the right, and from that same room, the middle doorway loops back onto the convoy path while the rightmost doorway is the closest route to the attacker checkpoint itself.

Checkpoint 1: left side out of spawn

One last spot worth knowing before the second checkpoint: a ramp leading up to a balcony overlooking the path to the first checkpoint. That balcony connects onward toward the second point via a set of stairs, which is where the attackers' second spawn opens up once the first checkpoint falls.

Checkpoint 2: routes and health packs

On the right side, the first health pack is nestled between two trees and two staircases -- take the leftmost staircase up and through a small room, then right and left up more stairs to find the second health pack for this side, sitting on a ledge. Dropping down from that ledge leads either back to the path or through a door into a small area that curves around to the first defender spawn room. Going back out to the courtyard, up a set of stairs, right, then immediately left finds the third and final health pack on the right side. A bridge near this stretch connects the right and left halves of the map, same as on checkpoint 1.

On the left side, a bridge leads to a room with a breakable window -- a solid vantage point over attackers pushing the convoy. Taking the left path from there finds the first left-side health pack; the right archway loops back to the main path and the second checkpoint itself, while the left archway leads down a ramp to a small room with the second and final left-side health pack. Once attackers reach the second checkpoint, the map's only real "event" triggers: the sky goes dark and the whole map shifts into nighttime for the rest of the round.

Checkpoint 3: the final stretch

On the right side, following the path and taking a right up winding stairs finds the first health pack -- there's a breakable window here too, and an archway leading to a balcony overlooking the path (also the defender's second spawn on this stretch). Dropping down from that balcony and an immediate left finds the second health pack, with a nearby set of stairs leading to another overlook ledge. Continuing down two more staircases splits into two openings; the archway route leads to the third and final health pack on the right.

On the left side, a hallway leads to the first health pack, then back into the familiar courtyard from earlier checkpoints. Up a set of stairs on the left finds the second and final left-side health pack. One more set of stairs from there reaches a ledge overlooking both the path and the final point -- a strong spot to defend the last stretch from. The defender's third spawn sits nearby, along with a small ledge reachable only with mobility abilities, and behind it (through either of two doors) is the map's very last health pack, tucked between Loki's tapping device and an indestructible shield.

Secrets and Easter eggs

The map is dense with Loki-themed detail throughout attacker spawn and beyond: murals depicting Loki in various poses, banners like the one above hanging from ceilings and walls, and a caged Stormbreaker visible off to the side of spawn that eventually breaks free and lands on the convoy, kicking off the push. A bird's-eye map inside spawn circles out a few key points of interest, including a statue near the first checkpoint and a large crystal near the second checkpoint's courtyard.

Deeper into the map are murals of the Three Fates (Norse mythology's answer to the Greek Fates), a Celtic trinity knot (also called the Odin knot), and the mural of Hela above, standing in a room that also holds a small scroll containing the same bird's-eye map shown near spawn. Another room holds a book resting on a pedestal, showing Yggdrasil (the World Tree) alongside the same knot motif.

How this guide was fact-checked

The Marvel Rivals Wiki's Maps listing page (marvelrivals.wiki.gg, last edited 23 November 2025) confirms Yggdrasil Path is still a current map under the Convoy game mode -- matching this guide's Notion brief that the map is one of the originals and its layout has been unchanged since launch. This matters because the source video is from January 2025, over a year and a half old at the time of writing; the map has not been removed or reworked in that time. The wiki has no dedicated page breaking down this map's specific routes or health-pack positions, so all route-level detail in this guide comes directly from the source video, cross-checked against the images captured above -- the map's own on-screen name (seen in the caption overlays throughout the video) confirms it matches the checkpoint-by-checkpoint structure described.

What this guide doesn't answer

This guide covers only the Yggdrasil Path Convoy map, even though the source video also tours three Domination point layouts (Bifrost Garden, Throne Room and Odin's Archives) set within the separate Royal Palace map, also in the Yggsgard realm -- those are a different map entirely from the one this Notion brief and its keywords are scoped to, so their routes aren't included here. This guide also doesn't rank heroes or recommend a specific comp for Yggdrasil Path, since hero viability shifts with balance patches far more often than a map's physical layout does -- the bridges and balconies connecting both sides do generally reward heroes with flanking mobility, but naming a "best hero" here would age faster than the map itself. And it doesn't cover ranked-specific strategy like ultimate economy or exact defensive rotations, since the source is a pure route-and-health-pack breakdown rather than a coaching guide.

Frequently asked

Is Yggdrasil Path (Yggdrasill) still a current map in Marvel Rivals?

Yes. The Marvel Rivals Wiki's Maps listing confirms Yggdrasil Path is still an active Convoy-mode map. It's one of the game's original maps, and its physical layout has been unchanged since launch, so route and health-pack information holds up regardless of the current patch.

How many checkpoints does Yggdrasil Path have?

Three. Attackers push the payload through checkpoint 1 out of spawn, checkpoint 2 (where the sky shifts to nighttime once reached), and a final third checkpoint, each with distinct health pack locations on both the right and left sides of the map.

Are the right and left sides of Yggdrasil Path connected?

Yes. Every checkpoint on this map has a bridge connecting its right and left sides, so players don't have to fully commit to one route -- it's possible to reroute mid-fight or rotate to support whichever side is under more pressure.

What Easter eggs are on Yggdrasil Path?

The map is filled with Loki-themed details: murals of Loki in various poses, hanging banners bearing his symbol, a caged Stormbreaker near attacker spawn that eventually breaks free and lands on the convoy, and a mural of Hela in one of the interior rooms, alongside Norse mythology references like the Three Fates and the Celtic trinity knot.

Does this guide recommend a best hero for Yggdrasil Path?

No. This is a route and health-pack layout guide, not a hero tier list -- hero viability shifts with balance patches far more often than a map's physical layout does. The map's bridges and balconies do generally reward flanking-capable heroes, but the guide focuses on positioning and health-pack locations instead of naming a specific best pick.
