This checklist covers every daily and weekly activity in AION 2 that is worth your time at endgame, which reward to take from each one, and when to run it. Follow it and your Gear Score and Combat Power climb as fast as the game allows, without spending rewards on things you will not use.
Quick answer
| What | Answer |
|---|---|
| Daily duties | 5 Odyle Energy rewards secure 1 extra dungeon clear per day |
| Kina cap | Up to 1 million Kina per day from the open world |
| Ticket cap | Up to 14 Nightmare Boss and Shugo Festival tickets, 2 earned per day |
| Trial timing | Run the Weekly Ascension Trial and daily dungeon on the last day of the week |
| Arena points | 3,000 Abyss Points weekly per arena mode, plus 500 per win for up to 30 wins |
| Weekly scrolls | 12 scrolls from the Command Merchant in the main town |
| Odyle crafting | Combining the three types yields 40 Odyle Energy |
Clear your daily duties and pick the right rewards
The duty objective is trivial: kill the batch of monsters it names. The part that decides your progress is the reward screen. Each duty offers a reward you choose, and across the five duties you can collect anything from weapons and materials to stones and crystals.
| Reward | When to take it | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Odyle Energy | First choice until about item level 2K, or until you stop farming dungeons | Five of them buy one extra dungeon clear every day, and dungeons are where your gear comes from |
| Crystals | Second choice | A later progression system consumes them in large numbers |
| Keys | Whenever one appears | The best reward in principle, but on a crowded server you find roughly one a day 2:24 |
Work through the reward screen like this:
Drop chance falls from left to right. The first slot is a 100% drop, the next is 50%, the one after that 25%, and the rest are lower still. A reward you actually need belongs in the first slot, or you may not get it at all.
Collect open-world Kina and turn in daily supply requests
Monsters in the open world drop Kina up to a cap of 1 million per day 3:20. It is not a task the game tracks for you, so it is easy to forget. Hit the cap anyway: Kina matters more the further into the game you get, and topping it up does not take long once it is part of your loop.
The fastest farming spot for the cap is still an open question. At roughly 600 Kina per monster, reaching 1 million means well over 1k kills a day, so a dense spawn area you can clear quickly is worth finding.
The daily Supply Request lives in the Emergency tab of the supply request window 3:50. It takes items off your hands in exchange for Abyss Points and other rewards, so feed it things you would otherwise ignore:
- Turn in: weapons and armor you do not use, food, ores, materials, Odyle and cyanium.
- Keep: mana stones and other stones. What the request pays back for them is not worth the trade.
Spend Nightmare Boss and Shugo Festival tickets
You earn two tickets a day for Nightmare Bosses and the Shugo Festival. They run on a weekly rotation and stack up to 14 4:47, so you do not have to clear them daily. If your schedule is uneven, save them and spend the whole stack in one sitting.
Spending them as they come in has its own payoff: each run earns currency for the shop, and buying from it daily gives you meaningful upgrades every day rather than one batch at the end of the week.
Tickets are per character. Every alt earns its own two a day, so each extra character you run through them is extra drops on top of your main's.
Roll the Black Cloud Merchant and hunt world bosses
The Black Cloud Merchant sits under the Shop tab and is easy to overlook 5:26. It has three tabs:
| Tab | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Special | A random selection drawn from the other two tabs: Theostones, weapons, armor and pets |
| Pets | One of each pet, from your own faction and from the enemy faction. A later progression system needs them |
| Skins | Skins you can trade and combine. The stock rotates |
World bosses are among the most important kills in the game. Their artifacts are some of the biggest power spikes available, and they also drop item level 70 armor and mana stones 7:10.
There is no fixed schedule to memorise. Spawn and kill timing differs on every server, and some servers kill a boss early while others start later. Keep faction and legion chat open, watch for calls, and join a party as soon as one forms.
Time your Weekly Ascension Trial and daily dungeon
Run the Weekly Ascension Trial and claim the weekly daily-dungeon reward on the last day of the week 7:38.
The reasoning is simple. The maximum reward from both depends on your final score, and your score depends on how strong your character is. You keep upgrading all week, so the later you run them, the higher you score and the better the reward odds.
Two things to get right on the day:
- In the trial, pick the difficulty that matches your item level 8:08. Choosing the wrong mode throws away the advantage of waiting.
- In the daily dungeon, kill everything you can. Rewards scale with the number of kills.
Earn Abyss Points in arenas and battlefields
Three weekly PvP modes pay Abyss Points. The two arenas pay identically; the battlefield pays less per match but adds medals.
| Mode | Format | Weekly participation reward | Reward per win |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arena of Solitude | 1v1 | 3,000 Abyss Points | 500 Abyss Points, up to 30 wins 8:36 |
| 5v5 arena | 5v5 | 3,000 Abyss Points | 500 Abyss Points, up to 30 wins |
| Battlefield (Arena of Tactics) | 10v10 | 1,000 Abyss Points and 1 medal | 3,000 Abyss Points and 2 medals 9:06 |
In each arena, 30 wins at 500 apiece adds 15,000 Abyss Points on top of the participation reward, so the wins are where most of the points are.
Medals buy the PvP skin sets on the second page of the shop. More skins and weapons are set to join that shop as seasons arrive.
Buy and roll your weekly scrolls
Open-world scrolls work exactly like daily duties: five rewards in the same order, and you can reroll them as often as you like. The difference is that you buy them.
The same rule as duties applies to each scroll: put the reward you want most where it is guaranteed.
Abyss scrolls come in four colours: golden, blue, gray and green. The rarer the scroll, the more rewards it carries 10:32. Do not skip them because they mean a trip into the Abyss; they are one of the more important weekly sources.
Craft Odyle Energy and handle weekly supply requests
Open the Substance Morph menu and combine the three types of Odyle Energy to make 40 Odyle Energy 11:02. Each craft is worth one more dungeon drop, which feeds the same gear loop as your daily duty rewards. Craft every week.
The weekly Supply Request works like the daily one but is bigger in both directions: larger rewards, heavier demands, and a selection that rotates weekly 11:32.
The items the weekly request asks for are often crafting materials, and they sell for about 500k each on the market. Turn them in only when you need the Abyss Points more than the materials or the Kina. If you craft with them, keep them.
Frequently asked
What are alt characters used for in the AION 2 daily routine?
Each alt character can claim its own Nightmare Boss and Shugo Festival tickets, two per day, which means extra drops that feed back into your progression. Wherever a reward is marked as per alt, every extra character can do it separately.
How do I reroll the weekly scrolls in AION 2?
Buy the 12 scrolls from the Command Merchant in the main town and open them one by one. Each scroll offers five rewards in the same order as the daily duties, and you can keep rerolling a scroll until you land on rewards you want.
Should I do the Weekly Ascension Trial early in the week?
It is better to wait until the last day of the week. The final reward depends on your score, and your character keeps getting stronger over the week, so a later run tends to give better rewards. Make sure you pick the difficulty that matches your item level.
Do I have to use Nightmare Boss and Shugo Festival tickets every day?
No. You earn two tickets a day, they reset on a weekly rotation, and you can stack up to 14 of them. You can spend them all in one sitting or spread them out.
