Arknights: Endfield 1.5, Dreamscape of Wind and Snow, replaces 1.4 on 2 September 2026. It arrives in two halves three weeks apart: Typhoeus and the Snowy Forest on day one, then Suiming, the free 5★ Purrchena and the Yvonne rerun on 24 September. This is what changes, what it costs you in pulls, and what to do first.

The two halves of 1.5, and what opens when

The version does not land all at once. Phase 1 carries the new operator and the story map; Phase 2, three weeks later, carries the free operator and the puzzle city.

2 September1Typhoeus on Winter Hunt, Snowy Forest, Snow Over Deep Woods, Echoes of War season Virtuality

Maintenance starts at 06:00 (UTC+8) on 2 September. Everyone gets 1,000 Oroberyl, 10,000 T-Creds, 8 Elementary Cognitive Carriers and 4 Arms INSP Sets in the mail for it — claim them before you plan any pulls, because a thousand Oroberyl is real pull budget.

Server times differ

Every date above is the Asia server. On US/EU the same content lands a day earlier by the calendar: Winter Hunt runs 1–29 September there against 2–30 September on Asia, and Resplendent Spectrum opens 23 September at 12:00 (UTC-5) against 24 September at 12:00 (GMT+8).

Typhoeus: what she actually does

Typhoeus is a 6★ Nature Striker who fights with an Arts Unit, and the short version is that she is an aerial damage dealer who wants to stay off the ground.

FieldValue
Rarity6★
ClassStriker
ElementNature
WeaponArts Unit
Race / factionSarkaz, Rhodes Island
Signature weaponUmbra of Frigid Eventide (Agility)

Her loop is built on a resource called Signs:

  1. It performs 5 aerial basic attacks, and each hit gives her 1 Sign.
  2. That is the trigger for her Combo Skill.
  3. It lays down area Nature damage over time that slows enemies and raises the Nature Burst damage they take.
  4. It grants extra hovering attacks that can trigger Hail of Arrows for area damage.

The slow and the Nature Burst amplification are the part that matters for team building: her Combo Skill is a debuff window, so she pairs with whoever else on your roster deals Nature damage rather than being a solo carry.

Not the Typhon you know

Endfield's Typhoeus is a young Sarkaz who wanders through dreams, and she is written as a parallel-world counterpart to the original Arknights operator rather than the same character. Builds and team notes for Typhon in the mobile game do not transfer.

Purrchena is free, and so is her weapon

The 5★ Physical Defender Purrchena does not go on a banner. She is the reward for the Purry Big Feline! RAWR! giveaway event that opens 24 September, and she comes with the 5★ sword Dessert Moment, which raises Strength and Treatment Efficiency.

  • free no pulls involved at all
  • grind six missions for the full set

Clearing all six event missions gives enough copies to max the potential on both the operator and the weapon, so there is no reason to stop at the first clear. Budget an evening for it in the last week of September.

What 1.5 costs you in pulls

The thresholds have not moved, and they are the numbers to plan against:

ThresholdWhat you get
Pull 65Soft pity begins; the 6★ rate climbs 5% per pull
Pull 80A guaranteed 6★, with a 50% chance it is the rate-up one
Pull 120The rate-up operator, guaranteed

Two rules decide whether saving is worth it. The 120-pull guarantee resets when a banner ends — it never rolls into the next one. The 80-pull counter does roll over, but only to another banner of the same type, and it still leaves you on the coin flip.

Read the banner page before you commit

Winter Hunt is a Chartered Headhunting banner and Resplendent Spectrum is a RE-Factoring rerun banner, which is a different type. GRYPHLINE has published that pull progress carries between RE-Factoring banners, and has said nothing about a counter crossing from a Chartered banner into one — so if your plan depends on walking a nearly-full Typhoeus pity counter into the Yvonne rerun, open the in-game banner details on 24 September and check before you spend.

If you want both, the safe reading is to treat them as two separate budgets: 120 for Typhoeus in Phase 1, and a fresh count for Yvonne in Phase 2.

Snowy Forest and Suiming are not the same kind of map

Both are exploration areas and they play nothing alike.

Snowy Forest, outside Yinglung Pass, is the story map and opens with the version. Its gimmick is enchanted fog that walks you in circles, and it is built on Sami legend — the same well the soundtrack draws from, with Finnish musician Vilma Jää blending Nordic folk into the electronic and JRPG mix. Its regional boss is Gloomwald's Rage.

Suiming, on 24 September, is an entire city built as one puzzle. It runs on a 15-minute time loop:

  • The city resets every 15 minutes, and rising and falling tides open routes that were closed a moment ago.
  • You gather parts to repair the Waking Bell, which is the thread the whole map hangs on.
  • Items you pick up persist across resets, so a loop that ends badly is not a wasted loop.

That last point is the one to internalise before you start. The loop is a timer on movement, not on progress — treat each 15 minutes as a scouting run and keep what you find.

Quality-of-life changes worth knowing

Most of this batch is small and lands where the game was tedious:

  • Progression Overview — one screen listing what each operator still needs, instead of opening every character.
  • Continuous AIC placement in wilderness mode, so a row of units is one action rather than one action each.
  • Blueprint creation shows exact facility counts before you commit the build.
  • Echoes of War lets you switch stages directly and shows your clear times on the result screen.
  • Hideable button prompts during autoplay dialogue, plus a hide-UI option — for screenshots and for cutscenes.
  • Gifting keeps working past max trust, and the engraved medal display scrolls by category.
  • One-click Clue Quick Action in the Reception Room.
  • New personal device types in the Talosite store.

A gear-set loadout feature for swapping whole gear configurations was described as planned rather than shipping here — do not expect it on 2 September.

What to do on patch day

  1. 1,000 Oroberyl, 10,000 T-Creds, 8 Elementary Cognitive Carriers, 4 Arms INSP Sets.
  2. 120 for a guaranteed Typhoeus; anything less is a coin flip at 80.
  3. The map is gated behind the story, and Gloomwald's Rage is the payoff.
  4. It opens the same day; the Illusion season follows on 24 September.
  5. Free Purrchena, Suiming, and the Yvonne rerun all land together.

Accurate as of GRYPHLINE's Version 1.5 announcement of 21 August 2026, written ahead of the 2 September release. Anything the live build changes on patch day wins over this page.

Frequently asked

When does Arknights: Endfield 1.5 release?

Version 1.5, Dreamscape of Wind and Snow, releases on 2 September 2026. Maintenance starts at 06:00 (UTC+8) that day. The version arrives in two phases: Typhoeus and the Snowy Forest on 2 September, then Suiming, the free operator Purrchena and the Yvonne rerun on 24 September.

How do you get Purrchena for free in Endfield 1.5?

Purrchena is a 5-star Physical Defender given away through the Purry Big Feline! RAWR! event, which opens on 24 September 2026. She is not added to the Headhunting banners. Clearing all six event missions also grants her recommended 5-star sword, Dessert Moment, and enough copies to max the potential on both.

How many pulls do you need to guarantee Typhoeus?

120 pulls guarantee the rate-up operator on the Winter Hunt banner. Soft pity begins at pull 65, where the 6-star rate climbs 5% per pull, and pull 80 gives a guaranteed 6-star that may not be Typhoeus. The 120-pull guarantee resets when the banner ends and never carries into the next one.

Is Endfield's Typhoeus the same character as Typhon in Arknights?

No. Endfield's Typhoeus is a 6-star Nature Striker written as a parallel-world counterpart to the original Arknights operator rather than the same character, so builds and team notes for Typhon do not transfer to her.
