# WARDOGS Money Guide: Best Ways to Make Money Fast

> Which WARDOGS earning methods actually pay: a four-way cash-per-hour test of hot zone fighting, building, flying and supply runs, plus revives, spotting and the spawn vehicle. Every payout is checked against the Season 2 patch notes, which cut pallet, spotting and drill rig income.

## 🎯 The core idea

> WARDOGS money comes from teamplay inside the control zone, and the hot zone pays double. In a 16-hour Season 01 test, fighting and healing in the hot zone earned about $140k an hour, ahead of building, flying and truck runs. Season 02 cut pallet, spotting and vehicle-kill payouts, so staying in the zone and reviving matter even more. The exploit-style tricks from older videos now risk a ban.

<ul class="legend"><li><span class="badge free">free</span> costs nothing</li>
<li><span class="badge cheap">cheap</span> small cost</li>
<li><span class="badge setup">setup</span> needs preparation</li>
<li><span class="badge grind">grind</span> pays off slowly</li>
<li><span class="badge skip">skip</span> the thing to stop doing</li></ul>

## Which way to make money pays the most

![WARDOGS money test results comparing hot zone, building, piloting and driving cash per hour](https://api.guides-factory.com/media/uploads/2026/10/wd_money_a2000.webp)

SirSmoken played three or four full matches of each earning style and wrote down his cash after every game. It isn't a lab test (teammates, server and gear all change the result), but it's the best side-by-side we have. The numbers are from Season 01, recorded before the 15 October patch:

| Method (Season 01 test) | Games | Cash earned | Time played | Cash per hour |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Hot zone (medic kit, SMG, revives) | 4 | about $483k | about 3 h 28 m | **about $140k** |
| Building FOBs and drills | 3 | about $467k | about 4 h 26 m | about $105k |
| Flying the Lakota (players and pallets) | 3 | about $466k | about 4 h 30 m | about $102k |
| Driving the Ural (pallet runs) | 4 | about $269k | about 3 h 48 m | about $71k |

So the best way to make money in WARDOGS isn't a secret farm. It's being where your team scores. Season 02 changed some of these payouts. It halved the base pallet reward but added streak bonuses, cut spotting by about 30% and lowered most vehicle-kill rewards. That makes driving and passive income weaker than in the table and leaves the hot zone further ahead. Each section below says what changed.

## Hot zone fighting: the steady earner

![WARDOGS player aiming at an enemy tower from inside the hot zone with cash shown top right](https://api.guides-factory.com/media/uploads/2026/10/wd_money_a0400.webp)

<span class="badge cheap">cheap</span> The hot zone, the smaller circle inside the 2×2 km control zone, pays double cash according to the wiki, and it counts you as two players for capture. SirSmoken's best method was simple: buy a cheap medic-style kit with an SMG, stay with the team around the hot zone, heal, revive and take whatever kills come. His four games paid between $99k and $172k each, even in a 100-to-99 loss.

Two Season 02 changes help this style. Kills with an assault-type weapon now pay $2,000 instead of $1,500. Capturing a hostile drill tower now pays $1,500 instead of $750. Hacking an enemy FOB pays the hacker $2,500, and now every teammate inside the FOB radius also gets $1,000.

Keep the kit cheap. If the hot zone gets dragged across the map and you die on the way, a $3,000 kit costs you far less than a $15,000 one. The beginner guide linked at the bottom lists the current cheap starter guns.

## Revives and bribes add up fast

![WARDOGS medic reviving a downed teammate under smoke cover](https://api.guides-factory.com/media/uploads/2026/10/wd_money_b5815.webp)

<span class="badge free">free</span> Reviving is the easiest money-making habit to add to any role. In SwoleBenji's video one revive paid $800, and the downed player added a bribe on top. Before you own a defibrillator, check the body: most players carry a field resuscitator, and using their own one on them still pays you. Throw a smoke grenade over the body first if a sniper downed them.

Season 02 made medic gear cheaper or easier to unlock in some places and harder in others. The field resuscitator now costs $425 (was $500). The medical bag unlocks at Medic level 14 instead of 24, and its durability went from 100 to 150. The defibrillator moved from Medic level 11 to level 22, with a $110,000 unlock. More on the kit is in our [WARDOGS medic guide](/guides/wardogs-medic).

## Building and drill rigs in the zone

![WARDOGS drill rig control panel showing Ready to Activate with fuel count](https://api.guides-factory.com/media/uploads/2026/10/wd_money_b4960.webp)

<span class="badge setup">setup</span> Building pays per hammer swing, and it pays most inside the control zone. SwoleBenji showed about $50 per swing while hammering a drill rig in the zone and roughly $10,200 for one rig, plus another payout when he activated it. An active drill rig drags the hot zone to your FOB, and building a second rig inside that hot zone pays double. In Season 01 that was the classic WARDOGS money farm: one supply truck, one FOB, drills on repeat.

Season 02 deliberately weakened drill farming. A drill rig now needs 2,000 fuel to start (was 1,500) and stays active for at most 300 seconds (was 375). A destroyed rig also has a much longer cooldown before it can be replaced. Build costs went up across the board: gates went from 85 to 200 supplies, mortars from 150 to 600, and doors from 22 to 80. The medium hammer also contributes less per swing. Building still pays well, but only in a base your team can hold.

Building outside the zone pays very little. Update 0.1.2 cut the reward for depositing pallets into a FOB outside the zone, and SwoleBenji's out-of-zone build earned much less than his in-zone ones. Where to place a base, how to wall it and when to add drills is the job of our forward operating base guide (linked under Read next). This page only covers what building pays.

## What a builder's kit costs now

![WARDOGS equipment vendor with GGX 18, large hammer for 2,400 dollars and builder kit](https://api.guides-factory.com/media/uploads/2026/10/wd_money_a0800.webp)

<span class="badge cheap">cheap</span> SirSmoken's builder kit was a sidearm with hollow-point rounds, a large hammer, a FOB, a Ural and two build pallets. In his vendor screen the large hammer costs $2,400. That matches the Season 01 launch notes, which raised it from $1,600 and moved its unlock to Support level 8 ($75,000). SwoleBenji's beta video gives the older Support level 7 and $25,000, which no longer applies.

The forward operating base itself cost $7,500 from the Season 01 launch, three times the beta price. So the "4.4k for a FOB and supplies" in SwoleBenji's video is out of date. A full builder setup costs well over $10,000 before you hit anything. That's why every build guide says the same thing: build where it won't be shelled in five minutes.

## Supply truck runs, briefly

![WARDOGS Ural supply truck carrying build pallets toward a FOB](https://api.guides-factory.com/media/uploads/2026/10/wd_money_a1150.webp)

<span class="badge grind">grind</span> Driving the Ural with two pallets was the lowest earner in the test, at about $71k an hour. SirSmoken put a full run at around $5,800. He lost money when AT mines or a single enemy caught the truck, and he earned little when his team didn't use the supplies he brought.

Season 02 changed the pay. The base pallet reward is now $1,250 instead of $2,500, but each consecutive pallet adds a streak bonus of +$250 and +100 XP, up to 10. Return trips also add +$50 per trip in a row. So logistics now rewards a driver who keeps the same truck running, not one who drops a load and leaves. Only the building pallet is still unlocked by default. The mechanical, ammo and fuel pallets now unlock at WARDOG levels 5, 9 and 16. Two habits from the video still matter: drop the pallet the moment you arrive so the payout counts, and take a back route (or the water) when mines show up on the main road.

## Flying the Lakota for players and pallets

![WARDOGS Z20 Lakota helicopter dropping a supply pallet for a 2,500 dollar payout](https://api.guides-factory.com/media/uploads/2026/10/wd_money_a1900.webp)

<span class="badge setup">setup</span> Flying came third at about $102k an hour, and one game alone paid $198k in roughly 90 minutes. The Lakota carries a full squad and one pallet. In this shot SirSmoken's pallet drop shows +$2,500, the Season 01 value. A drop is now worth $1,250 plus any streak bonus. Delivered passengers now pay $100 each (was $150).

The risk is the anti-air. His worst flying games were lost to Talon missiles and lag, and flying low under the treeline was what kept him alive. Season 02 also raised the basic parachute from $100 to $500 and made it open more slowly, so fewer passengers will bail out of a bad pilot's aircraft. Learn to fly before treating it as income; our WARDOGS helicopter guide covers that.

## The spawn vehicle: easy passive cash

![WARDOGS armored spawn vehicle parked inside a warehouse in the control zone](https://api.guides-factory.com/media/uploads/2026/10/wd_money_b1270.webp)

<span class="badge free">free</span> Each team gets a free armored spawn vehicle once a team reaches 20 points. In SwoleBenji's video, driving it into the control zone and parking it out of sight paid him every time a teammate deployed on it, again if they survived the first 10 seconds, and often a tip on top. He made about $14,500 while parked. A safe spot under a tower or inside a warehouse keeps it away from mortars.

Season 02 makes it a little harder to kill: the Vanguard CIWS now takes 2.25 times longer to destroy it. It also blocks a common abuse. If you switch teams or join mid-match, you can't use the spawn vehicle until you've reached the control zone once.

<span class="badge skip">skip</span> The same video shows blowing up your own team's spawn vehicle with IEDs to take it over, and parking it near another team before switching sides. Skip both. Team kills now trigger a forgive-or-punish vote that leads to kicks and bans. Switching is locked for 15 minutes once a team leads by more than 10 points. The developers have also said they ban repeat use of cash exploits.

## Spotting after the Season 02 cut

![WARDOGS binoculars view spotting enemies with spotted target rewards listed](https://api.guides-factory.com/media/uploads/2026/10/wd_money_b5985.webp)

<span class="badge cheap">cheap</span> Spotting with binoculars used to be one of the easiest ways to earn money: mark enemies and vehicles, and get paid when your team kills them. SwoleBenji got a $1,500 kill assist from one spotted vehicle, and his tip is to watch the enemy spawn vehicle, where players keep reappearing.

The patch notes call spotting the "lowest-risk, highest-paying" way to earn in Season 01 and cut it by about 30%. Rewards now scale with the value of the target, so a tank or helicopter pays more than one rifleman. If the target is killed by a different enemy faction, you now get 25% of the reward instead of 50%. Binoculars went from $75 to $180 and the range finder from $400 to $1,450. Spotting still pays for binoculars in one fight, but treat it as a side income.

## Anti-air: profitable, but less than before

![WARDOGS Talon 9K SAM anti-air launcher built on a rooftop at a FOB](https://api.guides-factory.com/media/uploads/2026/10/wd_money_b3550.webp)

<span class="badge setup">setup</span> A Talon launcher at a FOB lets you shoot down helicopters for cash and XP. In SwoleBenji's video, downing one pilot nearly paid for his whole setup. Season 02 changed three things. The Talon now costs 650 build supplies instead of 1,000. It reloads in 5 seconds instead of 2. And the rewards for kills fell for most aircraft: the plain Lakota pays $1,500 (was $3,700) and the Havoc $14,000 (was $18,000). Armed variants pay more, though: $6,000 for the Little Bird with miniguns and $9,400 with rockets.

Anti-air pays on busy servers where enemy pilots keep flying into the zone. It doesn't pay on quiet ones. Placement and the CIWS are covered in our WARDOGS SAM site guide.

## Selling from a supply crate

![WARDOGS pickup truck hauling a supply crate to sell items at a FOB](https://api.guides-factory.com/media/uploads/2026/10/wd_money_b5670.webp)

<span class="badge skip">skip</span> SwoleBenji's "merchant" trick was to fill a crate with hammers, explosives and resuscitators, drop it at a busy FOB, and earn a 75% markup on everything teammates bought. Season 02 added diminishing returns per buyer: after enough sales you break even, with no profit or XP. Selling to an enemy (for example, someone who just switched teams) pays nothing. The Season 01 launch had already cut the XP for items sold under $75 to 1. A crate of convenience items still helps teammates, but it's no longer a money farm.

## Season 02 changes to earnings at a glance

![WARDOGS vehicle vendor showing the Ural truck for 5,000 dollars and locked vehicles](https://api.guides-factory.com/media/uploads/2026/10/wd_money_a1140.webp)

Both source videos predate Season 02 (SwoleBenji's predates launch). These are the official changes that matter most for earning:

| What the videos show | Season 02 (patch notes, 14 October 2026) |
| --- | --- |
| Pallet delivery $2,500 base | $1,250 base, +$250 per pallet in a streak, up to 10 |
| Player delivered $150; by ground $500 | $100; by ground $350 |
| Spotting pays high, binoculars $75 | About 30% lower, scaled by target value; binoculars $180 |
| Drill rig needs 1,500 fuel, 375 s max uptime | 2,000 fuel, 300 s max uptime, longer cooldown |
| Assault-weapon kill $1,500 | $2,000 |
| Capture a drill tower $750 | $1,500 |
| Ural destroyed $2,500, Lakota $3,700 | $1,000 and $1,500 (armed variants pay more) |
| Barbed wire kills pay cash | Barbed wire kills pay nothing |
| Crate selling, 75% markup | Diminishing returns per buyer; no pay from enemies |
| Basic parachute $100 | $500 |

New in Season 02: the losing team gets 20% off at the vendor when it's at least 40 points behind second place. Lonestar (the blue team) gets a cash and XP win bonus plus teamplay multipliers this season only. Players who seed an empty server get rewards and a vendor discount once the match starts. A Wager vendor, where you bet your own cash on your own performance, opens later in Season 02. The full patch breakdown is linked under Read next.

## Money tips that protect your bank

![WARDOGS pickup truck on a road with the player's cash balance in the HUD](https://api.guides-factory.com/media/uploads/2026/10/wd_money_b0715.webp)

<span class="badge free">free</span> Your balance (top right) carries over between matches, so the cheapest WARDOGS money tips are about not losing it:

- **Stay until the match ends.** End-of-match bonuses pay cash and role XP. SwoleBenji got $8,400 just for finishing second. Leaving early throws that away.
- **Rebuy while your team is behind.** When your team is 40 or more points behind second place, the vendor gives 20% off, which makes rebuying cheaper. Playing Lonestar adds the Season 02 bonus.
- **Don't carry what you can't afford to lose.** Everything on your body drops when you die. Loot the dead instead: SwoleBenji rebuilt a full armor kit from one backpack.
- **Lock your vehicle and keep it moving.** Purchased vehicle inventories are now private to you and your squad by default. In the video, a vehicle left parked for 5 to 10 minutes self-destructed.
- **Skip the self-kill on barbed wire.** It no longer pays the builder, and in SwoleBenji's beta footage a griefer dying on it cost the builder $3,000 to $4,000 each time.

For easy money with no aim, the order is: stand in the hot zone, revive, park the spawn vehicle, then spot. Cash and levels don't last forever. Before the season ends, check the wipe explainer linked below so you don't save for unlocks you'll lose.

## How this guide was fact-checked

- **Official patch notes (win over the videos):** Season 02 patch notes (14 October 2026) for every logistics, spotting, drill rig, build cost, kill reward, vehicle reward, crate selling, team switching, team-kill vote, losing-team discount, Lonestar bonus, server seeding and vendor price change named here; update 0.1.2 (30 September 2026) for the reduced pay for pallets deposited outside the zone; the Season 01 launch changelog (9 September 2026) for the $7,500 FOB, $2,400 large hammer and Support level 8 large hammer unlock; patch 0.11 for the developers' stance on banning exploit abuse.
- **WARDOGS Wiki on Fandom:** the hot zone's double cash and double headcount, the 2×2 km control zone, cash persisting between matches, the $10,000 starting cash, and the Ural's two-pallet and the Lakota's one-pallet capacity. The wiki's Progression and Equipment pages are still stubs.
- **From the videos:** SirSmoken's per-game cash totals and hours (Season 01, uploaded 5 October 2026) and his roughly $5,800 run cost. From SwoleBenji (closed beta, uploaded 10 September 2026): the $50 per drill swing, the $10,200 drill, spawn vehicle payouts, the $1,500 spot assist, the $8,400 second-place bonus, the 75% crate markup and the vehicle self-destruct timer. These aren't in any official source and are attributed to the videos.
- **Corrections made:** pallet pay is $1,250 base plus streaks, not $2,500; spotting pays about 30% less; binoculars cost $180 and the basic parachute $500; drill rigs need 2,000 fuel and run at most 300 s; the large hammer is Support level 8 with a $75,000 unlock, not level 7 and $25,000; the FOB costs $7,500, not the beta price; Ural and Lakota kill rewards fell to $1,000 and $1,500; crate selling now has diminishing returns; and the team-switching and spawn vehicle tricks are blocked or punishable.

## What this guide doesn't answer

- **How to lay out a FOB, walls and airlocks.** That's the FOB guide's job; this page only covers what building pays.
- **Exact cash per action for every event.** The game doesn't publish a full table, and most values change per zone multiplier.
- **Fastest XP per role.** Cash and XP overlap, but role levels are a separate topic.
- **Wager vendor strategy.** It isn't open yet in Season 02, so there's nothing to test.
- **Gold bars and the Gold Market.** The wiki confirms cash can buy gold bars for cosmetics. This guide is about earning cash, not spending it on skins.

## FAQ

### What is the best way to make money in WARDOGS?

Play inside the control zone and stay in the hot zone, which pays double cash. In a Season 01 test the hot zone (cheap SMG kit, healing, reviving, fighting) earned about $140k an hour, ahead of building (about $105k), flying the Lakota (about $102k) and Ural truck runs (about $71k). Season 2 cut pallet and spotting pay, so the hot zone is further ahead now.

### Is there still a money farm in WARDOGS Season 2?

Drill rigs in the hot zone were the big Season 01 money farm, and building still pays per hammer swing inside the zone. Season 2 nerfed it on purpose: a drill rig now needs 2,000 fuel to start, runs for at most 300 seconds and has a longer cooldown. Build costs also rose (gates 85 to 200 supplies, mortars 150 to 600), so it only pays in a base your team can hold.

### How much do supply pallet runs pay in WARDOGS now?

Season 2 halved the base pallet delivery from $2,500 to $1,250, but each consecutive pallet now adds a +$250 streak bonus, up to 10 in a row, and return trips add +$50 per trip in a row. Only the building pallet is unlocked by default; mechanical, ammo and fuel pallets unlock at WARDOG levels 5, 9 and 16.

### Is spotting still easy money in WARDOGS?

It still pays, but less. Season 2 cut spotting rewards by about 30% and made them scale with the target's value, so tanks and helicopters pay more than infantry. If another enemy faction kills your spotted target you get 25% instead of 50%. Binoculars also went from $75 to $180, so treat spotting as side income alongside fighting or reviving.

### Can you get banned for WARDOGS money exploits?

Yes. The developers reset cash and XP and hand out timed or permanent bans for repeated exploit abuse. Season 2 also blocked several old tricks: team-switching is locked for 15 minutes once a team leads by more than 10 points, team kills trigger a forgive-or-punish vote, crate selling has diminishing returns, and barbed wire kills no longer pay.
